About

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a vital constituent of our Law College’s commitment to excellence. Established in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC serves as a structured mechanism to promote, sustain, and enhance the quality of legal education and institutional functioning.

Functioning as a dynamic unit, the IQAC ensures the integration of quality benchmarks in academic, administrative, and co-curricular domains. It strives for continuous improvement by fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and participative governance. The Cell aims to transform the college into a centre of academic excellence that not only imparts legal knowledge but also shapes socially responsible and ethically grounded legal professionals.

Objective

  1. To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in academic and administrative performance.
  2. To promote a learner-centric environment through effective teaching-learning processes and academic innovations.
  3. To initiate and institutionalize best practices in governance, pedagogy, research, extension, and evaluation.
  4. To ensure stakeholder feedback is systematically collected, analyzed, and acted upon for institutional development.
  5. To prepare the institution for assessment and accreditation by national and international bodies through sustained quality enhancement.
  6. To support decision-making through reliable data analysis and documentation of institutional performance.

Mechanism

The IQAC operates under the leadership of the Principal and includes representatives from faculty, administration, students, alumni, and external stakeholders. It meets at regular intervals to review institutional processes and make strategic recommendations.

The Cell maintains coordination with all departments, committees, and administrative units to ensure seamless implementation of quality policies. It also monitors compliance with academic calendars, evaluation norms, and regulatory guidelines issued by statutory bodies such as UGC, BCI, and NAAC.

Procedures

  1. Annual Planning and Review: Preparation of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR), strategic plans, and institutional development blueprints.
  2. Feedback Mechanism: Designing structured feedback forms for students, faculty, alumni, and employers and analyzing the results for actionable insights.
  3. Internal Academic Audits: Conducting periodic academic and administrative audits to monitor performance indicators.
  4. Data Management: Maintaining comprehensive records related to teaching, research, publications, student progression, and governance.
  5. Quality Workshops & Training: Organizing seminars, capacity-building programs, and training sessions for faculty, staff, and students.

Functions

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks and parameters for academic and administrative activities.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality legal education and faculty development.
  • Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents, alumni, and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters and best practices.
  • Documentation of all programs/activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
