Information Technology Students Association (ITSA)

• 1. ITSA organizes A Session on Stress handling in youths for BE students on 3 rd March,2025. This enables youths to identify personal stress triggers and early signs of stress.
• 2. ITSA organizes Computer Day Celebration on 14 th February, 2025 for all students of IT department. The Computer Day celebration commenced with an enlightening address by Principal Dr.Rupesh J. Patil, who emphasized the pivotal role of computer science in shaping the modern world. His speech inspired both students and teachers to embrace innovation and strive for excellence in the field of computing.
• 3. Session on Navigating the Future: Career Guidance & Personal Growth for IT Professionals organized by ITSA on 10 th February, 2025. The session was conducted for Third year IT students.
• 4. Session on Power of meditation, Importance of code of conduct and discipline organized by ITSA on 20 nd January 2025 for Second year IT students.
• 5. Teacher’s day and Engineer’s Day Celebration organized by ITSA on 20 th September,2024 - The celebration kicked off with a keynote address by Principal Dr. Rupesh J. Patil, who stressed the importance of engineers in driving societal progress through innovation and problem-solving. He further extended his appreciation to teachers, recognizing their pivotal role in nurturing future leaders and engineers.
• 6. ITSA organizes Introductory Event on open-source Contribution, featuring a Hands-on tutorial on Git and GITHUB on 13 th September,2024. This session was arranged with the motive that students should understand what GitHub is and its role in version control and collaboration.
• 7. The Orientation of the Information Technology Students’ Association (ITSA) took place on 8 th August,2024 , marking the beginning of a new chapter for the IT department. The event was a vibrant gathering, with speeches from HOD, Principal and key members of ITSA that outlined exciting initiatives and opportunities for the year ahead. The enthusiastic participation of students and faculty of IT department alike made the event a grand success.
• 8. Session organized by ITSA for TE_IT students “ Code of Ethics and code of values” on 22 nd July,2024. This interactive session will introduce TE_IT students to the importance of ethics and values in the IT industry. It will cover the key principles of ethical conduct, professional responsibilities, and real-world case studies. Through discussions and activities, students will explore ethical dilemmas and develop critical thinking skills for responsible decision-making in their careers.

Research

R&D Cell has been established to promote and monitor the research Programs of the Department. R & D cell is headed by Dr. V. A. Suryawanshi (Assistant Professor). The cell administers all the research Programs. It monitors and coordinates the research Programs. The cell takes immense efforts to expose the students to recent developments in the technology through innovative project works.

• Dr. Uke Nilesh J. along with Priya Pise, Ashish Dudhale, Akhilesh Kumar Mishra published Machine Learning And Visual Computing Observation System in the Journal of Data Acquisition and Processing, Vol: 38 (3) in May 2023.
• Dr. Wagh Mukund B. along with Vishal V. Puri, Sanjay B. Waykar, and Rajesh Kadu published HOTCP: Hybrid Optimal Test Case Prioritization with Multi-Objective Constraints in Journal of Information and Knowledge Management with ISSN (print): 0219-6492 | ISSN (online): 1793-6926 has impact factor 1.2.
