About the Department

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) is dedicated to providing quality education in emerging technologies and preparing students for successful careers in the digital age. With an intake of 60 students, the department focuses on developing skilled professionals who can meet the growing demands of the technology industry.

The department offers an undergraduate program that combines the fundamentals of Computer Science with specialized knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision. The curriculum is designed to help students build both strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Our teaching approach emphasizes hands-on learning through laboratory work, projects, internships, workshops, and industry interactions. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems and develop innovative solutions.

The department is supported by experienced faculty members, modern infrastructure, and well-equipped laboratories. Various technical activities, student clubs, seminars, and industry collaborations help students enhance their technical and professional skills.

The main objective of the AIML program is to make students industry-ready by providing practical exposure to modern AI and ML technologies. The department is committed to developing future-ready engineers who are technically strong, creative, adaptable, and capable of contributing positively to society and the technology sector.

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) is dedicated to providing quality education, Developing innovative thinking and preparing students for successful careers in the rapidly evolving field of AI and ML.

Research

R&D Cell has been established to promote and monitor the research Programs of the Department. R & D cell is headed by Dr. V. A. Suryawanshi (Assistant Professor). The cell administers all the research Programs. It monitors and coordinates the research Programs.   • Dr. Uke Nilesh J. along with Priya Pise, Ashish Dudhale, Akhilesh Kumar Mishra published Machine Learning And Visual Computing Observation System in the Journal of Data Acquisition and Processing, Vol: 38 (3) in May 2023.
  • Dr. Wagh Mukund B. along with Vishal V. Puri, Sanjay B. Waykar, and Rajesh Kadu published HOTCP: Hybrid Optimal Test Case Prioritization with Multi-Objective Constraints in Journal of Information and Knowledge Management with ISSN (print): 0219-6492 | ISSN (online): 1793-6926 has impact factor 1.2.

Parents’ Meeting to share students’ academic progress and technological skill development. Teachers presented updates on classroom activities, digital projects, and upcoming departmental initiatives. We appreciate the valuable participation of parents and look forward to continued collaboration in supporting students’ growth in computer education.

The department regularly hosts alumni interactions to inspire and guide current students. Distinguished graduates share their career journeys, industry insights, and professional experiences. These sessions create opportunities for mentorship, networking, and skill development. The initiative strengthens the bond between alumni and the department, fostering a supportive academic community.

The Computer Department organized an FDP led by an in-house expert, focusing on enhancing faculty skills and academic growth. Participants received valuable insights on Research and Development and exposure to emerging technologies.All attendees were awarded certificates, recognizing their active participation and successful completion of the program.

The Computer Department organized an exciting Hackfest in collaboration with Mile2 Company. Participants engaged in cybersecurity-focused challenges that tested problem-solving and technical skills. The event provided hands-on exposure to real-world security scenarios, encouraging innovation and teamwork among students.
